Jigsaw puzzles from Japan
The first week of May brings the curiously scattered holidays known as "Golden Week". This year the official holidays are Tuesday to Thursday, May 3-4-5. So we can actually ship puzzles on Monday or Friday, but in practice there will be disruption until the week beginning May 9.
We are accepting orders again, but with very limited shipping options, which we have to handle manually. Please use the checkout form to request puzzles, and we will get back to you when we can. Please see the front page for more details.
Jigsaw puzzles from Japan
![]() Picture © Beverly Enterprises 1000: Tsumago - old post town![]() Amazingly well-preserved buildings line this street in Tsumago, a staging point where the old Nakasendo road begins to climb over the Japan Alps. Morning glory features in the foreground, while on the mountain side disappearing into mist, sugi (cryptomeria) trees tower over typically frothy bamboos.
On the right is the famous Matsushiroya inn - here's how to read the signs in the picture. The juku means "a place to stay", referring to the town's status as a staging point. ![]() A Beverly puzzle: 1000 pieces; 72 x 49 cm (28" x 19") Code: B100124 (100-124 on package) Retail price ¥1980 |
